The exhibition Rhythms and Algorithms is an intergenerational show by artists from Central Europe who focus on working with lines in their work.
The seemingly elementary LINE, LINE, STROKE in their artistic language becomes a tool that – similarly to geometry – creates a separate and independent SPACE. Regardless of whether we understand it as a volume, an area surrounding an imaginary center, or as a mental outline of the framework of life with all its emotional afflictions. It is also important to follow the sources of inspiration and stimuli leading each of the creators to a different expression: contemporary classical music, the monotony of daily prayer, cyclically recurring rhythms of nature or generated codes. They become the starting point for creating works of art that speak to the viewer non-verbally, but in an extremely pleasant visual language, offering them shelter – a space to escape from reality.
